Alleged Algerian Coast Guard Shooting Leaves Two French-Moroccan Vacationers Dead

Alleged gunfire from Algerian coast guards could have tragically cost the lives of two French citizens of Moroccan origin who came to spend their vacation in Morocco, while a third individual would be detained in Algeria.
According to many unconfirmed official sources, the victims, holders of dual nationality, would have been hit by shots from the Algerian coast guards, provoking outrage after the dissemination of a video on social networks. The recording, taken off the bay of Saïdia, shows a Moroccan fisherman reporting a body in the sea, awaiting the intervention of the Moroccan police.
The Moroccan and Algerian authorities have not yet issued any official statement on this incident, and the details of the incident, as well as the exact date of the events.
Calls for a thorough investigation have multiplied and some Moroccans, in comments on social networks, are calling for an official protest from the Moroccan authorities.
