Algerian Fugitive Arrested in Morocco: Suspected Drug Trafficker Linked to Document Forgery Ring

The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has just announced the arrest of an Algerian who is the subject of an arrest warrant issued by the police in his country.
The 47-year-old man was arrested in Oujda, the DGSN said, suspecting him of belonging to a criminal network that is active in the sale of drugs and psychotropic substances.
Placed in custody for the purposes of the investigation, the police discovered that this Algerian was involved in a criminal network dismantled last year and which was "active in the falsification of identity documents and passports for the benefit of Algerian nationals to facilitate their obtaining Moroccan nationality," it was reported.
The DGSN also indicates that it arrested, during this operation, in parallel to the accused, four other people of Algerian nationality who had obtained falsified Moroccan identity documents.
They had all been taken into custody and were brought before the courts.
