Algerian Foreign Minister Asserts Nation’s Strength Amid Regional Tensions

During the graduation ceremony of the 49th promotion of the National School of Administration (ENA), the Algerian Foreign Minister made remarks that barely conceal a challenge to Morocco.
"No declaration by a foreign official can harm Algeria in any way," said Sabri Boukadoum, adding that his country is able to meet all the security challenges it faces today. "Algeria is a strong state, with a great history of struggle against colonialism, endowed with a strong army and driven by an unwavering will. So we should not fear the challenges," he argued, stressing that "the challenges are formidable, but we should not dread them."
The Minister of Foreign Affairs explains that "Algeria, which has borders with seven countries, advocates peace and works for its establishment in neighboring countries, as well as for the settlement of all conflicts, specifying that Algeria "follows the election in Niger as well as the situation in Western Sahara, Mauritania and the Mediterranean."
With the return of its president, Boukadoum assures that "Algeria will shift into high gear to meet all the challenges it faces today."
