Algerian Diaspora Group Urges Government to Reopen Morocco Border

The Association "Diaspora of Algerians residing abroad", headquartered in France, has invited the Algerian government to keep its promise to open the borders.
In a statement signed by its vice-president, Otman Douidi, the association, while refraining from "asking for apologies" on this issue, has invited the two parties to "look ahead". According to the signatory of the document, the time has (now) come for construction and good faith cooperation, and not for the awakening of old conflicts and false excuses put forward by Algerian politicians.
For the association, the Algerian presidency should "keep its unconditional promises to open the borders with Morocco", which "will follow by good sense and for the interest of all."
Considering this closure of the borders as a "shame in the eyes of the international community, in front of which we give ourselves in public", the head of the association has invited the president to keep his word.
According to him, the Algerian people "will be proud of this opening which will leave a positive mark for Algerian diplomacy in Africa".
