Algerian Backlash: LFI MEP Rima Hassan Caught in Political Crossfire Over Morocco and Palestine

Rima Hassan has been attacked for a few days by the Algerian press. The LFI MEP is accused of being complacent towards Morocco in the Sahara issue.
Rima Hassan is in the sights of Algerian "influencers" who constantly remind her of her debt to Algeria. "Like other merchants of the Palestinian cause, who have turned it into an electoral and political business and practice double-dealing, this ’chameleon’ forgets that it is the Algerian community that propelled this ’nothingness’ to the summit of political glory in France, and that it is she who will be able to send her back with a stroke of the pen into the sewers of Paris to find the rats of the capital," writes one of them on the X network.
On Friday, digital relays close to the Algerian regime attacked the MEP, notably reproaching her for her lukewarmness in the Sahara issue and for profiting from the Palestinian cause, or even for renouncing her French "paper" nationality and serving the propaganda of the Tebboune regime.
In analysis, Rima Hassan seems to have overestimated the real weight of the Palestinian cause for Algeria, seen as a natural ally. The MEP also made the mistake of thinking that her relationship with Algiers was limited to sympathy, while the Algerian regime expects total loyalty from her. She should refrain from asserting her positions on Gaza or the Sahara, at the risk of seeing this campaign against her continue on social networks.
