Algeria Seeks to Isolate Morocco at Upcoming Arab League Summit

Algeria wants to take advantage of the next Arab League summit it will host on November 1 and 2 to isolate Morocco, "its enemy" that it sees everywhere.
In the run-up to the Arab League summit, Algeria is working to organize a mini-summit bringing together Palestinian factions and many actors supporting the Palestinian cause throughout the Arab and Muslim world, which aims to offer the Polisario Front a wide platform and an unexpected space for expression in order to associate the "Sahrawi cause" with the "Palestinian cause", according to Maghreb-Intelligence. On the agenda of this meeting, violent diatribes against Morocco, the dissemination of content on an international scale and in particular in Arabic from Algiers to "demonize" the kingdom, compare it to Israel whose army continues to carry out attacks against pro-Palestinian activists.
On August 24, 2021, Algeria severed ties with Morocco due to "hostile acts" by the kingdom towards it. Since then, tensions have remained high between the two countries. Despite the outstretched hand of King Mohammed VI, Algiers is not about to resume diplomatic relations with Rabat.
