Algeria’s Mass Expulsion of 40,000 Moroccans in 1976 Revealed in Newly Surfaced Video

An exclusive video published by FAR-Maroc looks back on the expulsion, a few years ago, of 40,000 Moroccans from Algeria. The video is available on the Facebook page dedicated to Moroccan military affairs.
This video traces the suffering of thousands of Moroccans after their expulsion from Algeria. Taken at the time of the expulsion, it details the facts and presents the moving and poignant testimonies of the citizens who were forced to leave Algeria, where they had spent almost their entire lives. They were expelled after the Moroccan authorities approved the launch of the Green March, which aimed to defend the territorial integrity of the kingdom and its sovereignty over the Sahara.
Algeria, an ally of the Polisario Front and a major supporter of its independence claims, thus decided to expel more than 40,000 Moroccans in 1976. An operation that took place on the day of Aid al-Adha, as if to add to the despair and disappointment of the expelled Moroccans.
