Ajax Unveils Culturally-Inspired Jersey with Model Imaan Hammam

Dutch model of Moroccan-Egyptian origin Imaan Hammam presents the new Ajax Amsterdam jersey that the team will wear during pre-match warm-ups.
Inspired by East African beadwork, the new Ajax jersey celebrates the diverse cultures and communities of Amsterdam. The Dutch club has chosen Imaan Hammam to promote it. On her Instagram account, she posted a video on the collection with the caption: "for the love of my city and the love of football". In the video, we see Imaan wearing a jersey from the collection while addressing the camera directly before fluid images of the city’s different communities appear on the screen.
The new Ajax jersey is the result of a collaboration between sportswear manufacturer Adidas, the Dutch club and the newspaper The Daily Paper. It will be available in October.
