Air Arabia to Suspend All European Flights from Tetouan Airport in May

Less than a year after opening its air base at Sania Ramel Airport in Tetouan and announcing nine routes to Europe, Air Arabia is preparing to cease all its operations from this platform. Starting next May, all the company’s flights from Tetouan to Spain, France, Belgium and the Netherlands will be suspended.
This information, although not confirmed by an official statement from the airline, can be verified via its booking website. It no longer displays available flights from Tetouan to these European destinations after the end of April. This complete withdrawal follows previous adjustments on the same platform: Air Arabia had already suspended its Tetouan-Malaga and Tetouan-Bilbao routes a few months ago, and the announced connection to Lyon had never been put into service. The site also mentions two other non-activated routes, Tetouan-Montreal and Tetouan-Fez.
In parallel with this radical decision concerning Tetouan, Air Arabia has also made other route cancellations from Moroccan cities. The connection between Fez and Nice, France, will be stopped, with the last round-trip flight scheduled for this Monday. Passengers using this route have expressed their surprise at this announcement. Similarly, the connection between Oujda and Murcia in Spain will end, with a final flight scheduled for next Sunday.
