Agadir Wins Saudi Environmental Prize, Tied for "Best Eco-Friendly City"

Tied for first place with the city of Nur-Sultan in Kazakhstan in the "Best Environmentally Friendly City" category, the city of Agadir has won the Saudi Arabian Kingdom Prize for Environmental Management, according to the website of the Agadir municipality, citing a statement from the Islamic Organization for Education, Science and Culture (ISESCO).
On October 2, 2019, the Agadir Municipal Council will receive this Award on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the 8th Islamic Conference of Ministers of the Environment, announces La Vie éco. This will be held at the ISESO headquarters in Rabat on October 2 and 3, in the presence of the Ministers of the Environment of the Islamic world.
With significant environmental potential, including the Olhao and Ibn Zaidoun Gardens as well as the Valley of the Birds which houses many species of birds and animals, as well as other green spaces along the corniche, the city of Agadir rightly deserves this award, writes the same source.
