The Agadir-Taghazout road project reaches a decisive technical stage
The technical study for the extension of the northeast bypass of Agadir towards Taghazout has been relaunched. This strategic project aims to streamline traffic and support the tourism development of the coastal area of Souss-Massa.
The study of the project to extend the northeast bypass of Greater Agadir towards Taghazout is entering a new stage. This phase focuses on carrying out in-depth technical studies, covering topographic and geological aspects, in order to determine the final route and design the necessary civil engineering structures for this extension.
Scheduled to last about nine months, these expert assessments will provide the essential technical foundation for the future launch of the construction work. They will make it possible to precisely define the infrastructure required to effectively connect the city of Agadir to the coastal areas located to the north, which are currently experiencing significant development.
The project primarily targets the Taghazout area, which is currently experiencing growing urban and tourism dynamics. The main objective is to strengthen the accessibility of this major hub while decongesting the existing road networks, which are currently under heavy traffic pressure.
Ultimately, this new route will contribute significantly to improving the travel conditions for users in the region. It is part of a broader desire to support the economic development of Souss-Massa, by providing the territory with road infrastructure capable of supporting its expansion.
