Agadir Hotel Owner Jailed for Alleged Document Forgery and Auction Obstruction

A hotelier in Agadir was placed in pre-trial detention in the Ait Melloul prison, for his alleged involvement in a case of document forgery and obstruction of a court decision related to an auction.
In accordance with the judge’s instructions, the owner of a large hotel unit, accused by a company of having falsified the data of an official document, will have to be subject to individual surveillance and control measures within the prison, pending the appearance of new elements.
According to the site Al Oumk, the investigating judge also asked the director of the Ait Melloul prison to provide him with the number and date of detention of the accused.
The case dates back to 2019, when a company based in the Agadir seaport had filed two complaints against the businessman, accusing him of forging an official document and obstructing a court decision.
