Agadir Authorities Launch Crackdown on Illegal Sidewalk Encroachments

The local authorities of Agadir launched on Wednesday a large-scale operation to free the public domain from the encroachment of cafes, restaurants and businesses.
This operation started in all neighborhoods of the city, in the presence of the law enforcement agents, representatives of the administrative police services and with the support of the national security elements and the auxiliary forces, reports Al3Omk.
Several cafes and stores illegally installed on the public domain on Mohammed El Fassi and Laâyoune avenues, obstructing the free movement of pedestrians on the sidewalks and damaging the aesthetics of the city, have been simply cleared out.
Other neighborhoods such as Sidi Youssef, March 2 street, Abderrahim Bouabid street, and Toudert street, among others, are also affected by this operation which aims to fight against the illegal exploitation of the public domain and to ensure the free movement of people in the city.
