African Men’s Handball Championship Postponed Amid Draw Controversy

The African Handball Confederation has just announced the postponement of the African Handball Cup scheduled from January 13 to 23 in Guelmim and Laâyoune, following the cancellation of the draw results.
"Following the appeals registered with the general secretariat of the confederation after the draw, the Executive Committee, meeting in an extraordinary session by videoconference, decided to postpone the 25th edition of the Senior Men’s African Cup of Nations, beyond January 2022," it is stated in a press release published on its website, specifying that "the CAHB Council will conduct an in-depth analysis of the file during its session scheduled for December 28 with a view to a diligent follow-up".
On Wednesday, Algeria, one of the most capped teams on the continent, had officially withdrawn from this 25th edition, denouncing the organization of this competition in the Sahara.
