AEFE to Meet with Moroccan Parents over School Fee Hikes in French Schools

The Agency for French Education Abroad has responded favorably to the grievances of parents. It agrees to open dialogue with them, starting in January 2020 to discuss the increase in school fees.
It took a nationwide mobilization for the Union of Parents’ Councils (UCPE) to wrest the upcoming dialogue. The agenda remains the project to increase school fees in French establishments in Morocco.
Indeed, the AEFE plans for the Casablanca-Mohammedia hub two increases instead of the usual one from the 2020/2021 school year. They would total nearly 3,000 DH per student compared to this year.
The Union welcomes the decision of a meeting and insists on the need to have medium-term visibility as part of the consultation, in addition to the effective involvement of parents in the life of the establishments.
