Actress Nadia Farès between life and death after a dramatic pool accident

The tragedy unfolded on Saturday, April 11, around 5 p.m., at the Blanche sports complex. Nadia Farès, who was swimming laps with fins and a kickboard, suddenly lost consciousness before sinking. According to information gathered by Le Parisien, the actress would have remained between three and four minutes fully submerged at the bottom of the pool.

Alerted by the situation, two other swimmers immediately dived in to extract the actress from the water. Once on the pool stairs, the witnesses performed cardiac massage and used a defibrillator while waiting for the emergency services to arrive. Taken care of by the firefighters, she was rushed in absolute emergency to the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital, where she was resuscitated before being placed in an artificial coma.

A figure of French cinema, the actress of Moroccan origin had revealed herself to the general public in 2000 in Mathieu Kassovitz’s thriller before standing out more recently in the series "Marseille". Her health condition remains of great concern to the medical teams.
