New $300 Million US Consulate in Casablanca Set to Open in 2024

The new headquarters of the US Consulate, under construction in Casablanca, will be ready in 2024, announced the new Chargé d’Affaires at the US Embassy in Morocco, Aimee Cutrona.
The day after her installation, the diplomat visited the construction site to inquire about the progress of the work entrusted to the American company BL Harbert, the same one that built the US embassy in Rabat.
In a Facebook post, Aimee Cutrona indicated that the new headquarters located precisely in the Cité de l’Air, required an investment of $300 million, stressing that the work is on the right track.
"The building covers a total area of 2.8 hectares, with a design that combines contemporary American style with many historical influences from Morocco, illustrating the ancestral ties between the two countries," she wrote.
