New York Couple Trades $15,000 Wedding for Four Global Honeymoons

In a TikTok video titled "luxexperiences", Yulia Thomas, a luxury travel advisor based in New York, recounts how she and her partner had decided to abandon their $15,000 wedding they wanted to organize for four honeymoons. "It became so stressful, expensive. Our families were pulling us in different directions," Yulia recounts. "I didn’t want to entertain the guests and I didn’t like the wedding dress," she added.

One morning, nine months away from organizing their wedding, Yulia and her fiancé decided to turn their backs on the project. They got married the same day, in the greatest simplicity. "We called two of our best friends, I ran to the store and bought a $50 white dress and we got married three hours later," the bride recounts. After that, they used the $15,000 earmarked for the lavish wedding project to treat themselves to four honeymoons. Chosen destinations: Greece, Italy, Hawaii and Morocco. They enjoyed these unforgettable wedding trips.
