8-Year-Old Dies After Assault by Mother’s Lover in Morocco

An 8-year-old child died on Monday morning at the hospital as a result of complications from the violent physical assault he had suffered from an individual who was having an illegal relationship with the victim’s mother, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).

On April 23, the suspect (26 years old) had inflicted blows and injuries on the victim due to a dispute that opposed him to the mother of the latter with whom he was having an illegal relationship, the DGSN specifies.

The judicial investigation proved fruitful: the aggressor was arrested immediately after committing his crime. As for the child, he was evacuated to the hospital where he died.
