World Champion Oubaali Faces Tough Test Against Undefeated Inoue in Bantamweight Title Bout

Forced into exile, the Franco-Moroccan, Nordine Oubaali, for the 2nd consecutive time, is defending his WBC world bantamweight title, against the intrepid Japanese, Takuma Inoue, on Thursday in Saitama. A gladiator fight that the winner of the American Rau’shee Warren, in Las Vegas, should take seriously.
This new challenge that Nordine Oubaali will have to face is a formidable one, given the opponent he is facing thousands of kilometers away from France.
Undefeated in 16 outings (including 12 wins before the limit) and under contract with the Irish promoter, MTK Global, the 33-year-old boxer from Lens, Oubaali, has indeed prepared by going to Kazakhstan, under the orders of his brother, Ali.
But is this enough to declare himself as strong in this category against a formidable opponent?
"The fight will be explosive. I’m going to have to prove that I’m the strongest. He has a good career so far but he doesn’t have much experience and he’s never faced a boxer as strong as me. I’m the best bantamweight and I’m capable of beating anyone," proudly asserts the Franco-Moroccan, who is also counting on his experience to control the Japanese, Inoue.
Even though he is proud of his rich record, for having defeated the American Rau’shee Warren and the Filipino Arthur Villanueva in July in Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan), Oubaali does not lose sight of that of his challenger.
Winner of his 13 fights, the younger brother of Naoya "Monster" Inoue, the bantamweight reference and the headliner of the evening against the Filipino Nonito Donaire with the IBF and WBA titles at stake, has the means to thwart the high ambitions of the Frenchman, reports AFP.
The same media indicates that the Japanese, fast and very mobile, will not be as easy to maneuver for the pocket Northerner (1.63 m).
