The body of a woman in her forties, probably raped and murdered with a bladed weapon, was discovered on Friday, November 27, 2020 in Outat El Haj, in the Meknes region. An investigation has been opened.
The deceased is one of the employees of the teachers’ club in Otat Al-Hajj. She was attacked by unknown individuals, a group of repeat offenders, as she was returning home.
The attackers are said to have abused her before killing her. They then abandoned her at the crime scene. The victim’s naked body, bearing marks of violence, was discovered by local residents, who then called the police for the usual findings.
The body was then transferred to the morgue of the Ghessani regional hospital for an autopsy. The initial investigations of the opened investigation have already led to the arrest of one of the attackers.
In a statement, the teachers’ club condemned a heinous crime, highlighting the insecurity prevailing in the region, in the absence of local authorities and the Royal Gendarmerie, in charge of ensuring the safety of citizens.
