Wizz Air relaunches a new flight to Morocco
Wizz Air is reinstating its direct route between Marrakech and Bucharest this Sunday, September 20. Initially operated twice a week, the service will increase to three weekly rotations starting October 26.
Marrakech is once again connected by a nonstop route to the Romanian capital. The first flight of the new schedule departed from Bucharest’s Henri-Coandă Airport this Sunday at 13:10 and arrived in Marrakech at 16:05. The return flight W43272 is scheduled for 16:45, arriving in Romania at 23:30.
The route is operated by Wizz Air Malta with an Airbus A321neo capable of carrying 239 passengers. The airline sells tickets directly between the two cities on its official website.
This is not an entirely new route. Wizz Air launched Bucharest–Marrakech in October 2024 and continued to operate it in spring 2026. The program beginning this Sunday marks its resumption after an interruption during the summer.

Until October 22, flights will be offered on Thursdays and Sundays. The published schedules therefore provide for two weekly round trips between Marrakech-Ménara and Bucharest-Henri-Coandă.
Three flights per week starting October 26
Frequency will increase with the switch to the winter schedule. Starting October 26, Wizz Air Malta plans three weekly rotations, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The schedules will also be modified. The flight will generally depart from Bucharest at 13:55 and arrive in Marrakech at 18:00. The return flight will take off at 18:35 and land in Romania after midnight. The service is expected to continue during the winter of 2026-2027.
This resumption strengthens Wizz Air’s presence in Morocco. The airline is simultaneously developing several new routes to Agadir from Central Europe and Italy. Marrakech is already connected by Wizz Air to several cities, notably Rome, Milan, Budapest, London and Sofia.

The Romanian market remains smaller than the major French, Spanish or British markets, but it is growing in Morocco’s air travel schedule. Wizz Air is also expected to connect Marrakech with Cluj-Napoca starting October 25, with two weekly flights.
