Vintage Private Jet Becomes High-Tech Training Tool for French Aviation Students

A private jet dating from 1962 used for transporting passengers to Morocco is now the new educational tool of the Val de Lys high school in Estaires.
This 12-seat bi-reactor has landed in the hangar dedicated to aerotechnical maintenance training. The students of Estaires now have an educational support that will allow more concrete teaching on technologies that are still current, reports France info.
Of course there are already planes to assemble and dismantle in this high school but this aircraft is an absolute necessity. "We cannot be content with small aircraft, we must be as broad as possible in our fields of training because tomorrow our students will need it to work," says Olivier Baillet, director of training at the Val-de-Lys high school.
The region has fully financed this educational support ceded for 70,000 euros. "Many schools only do theory, for us this plane is a big advantage," rejoices Mayes, a senior student at the high school.
