France is preparing to go through a heat wave next week, with temperatures reaching 25°C in some cities. The culprit is a hot air flow from Morocco.
This is a new weather alert announcing that the thermometer is likely to rise to high temperatures in the Hexagon, starting October 17. However, the scenarios will not be the same in all regions. According to a forecaster, "we are heading towards an episode of great mildness, and even heat, with more than 25°C."
More specifically, it will be necessary to wait for almost 30 in the Southwest and more than 25 in the Rhône valley. "It will be a very hot period for the season," we specify. On the other hand, the North will experience "almost summer conditions, even if the morning freshness will remain autumnal, with a very strong temperature range during the day."
"For an October 17, the record in Paris is 24, there we should have 23. In the Southwest we are on records of 28 to 30, so we will also approach them, or even exceed them," concluded the specialist. At the origin of this heat wave that will hit France this week, the gradual rise of very hot air from Morocco and Spain.
