Turkish Coffee Chain Boost Expands in Morocco, Challenging Global Rivals

The Turkish chain Boost Coffee is strengthening its presence in Morocco, the second largest retail market for coffee in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, totaling $1.3 billion in coffee product sales in 2022.
Boost Coffee has just opened in the Green City, in the heart of the commercial district of the upscale suburb south of Casablanca, bringing the number of outlets the brand has in the kingdom to 3, reports Challenge. The investment amounts to several million dirhams. Boost Coffee first arrived in Morocco, its first country of international expansion, in 2021. The chain created in Izmir in 2014 had opened a first point of sale on Boulevard Abdelmoumen in Casablanca.
The inauguration of this third point of sale is in line with the overall program adopted by the Moroccan master-franchisee, which aims to establish a total of ten points of sale by 2025. The Turkish chain should thus expand its Moroccan network in 2024, in order to face competition from players such as its compatriot Espressolab, Starbucks, Costa Coffee, 100% Arabica and Columbus Café & Co who are carving out a large share of the market.
