Toxic Teacups: French Authorities Uncover Dangerous Pottery in Southern Store

The French authorities have decided to withdraw the earthenware cups sold in a store in Béziers, in the south of France, due to their high content of toxic substances.
The decision, published on the official RappelConso platform, specifies that these cups made of traditional pottery and painted in dark brown with black dots on their edges, contain a high level of aluminum, arsenic and cobalt, which makes them unfit for domestic use.
Consumers are urged not to use these cups and to return them immediately to the Almadina Souk ElMaghreb store for a refund or exchange with another product, no later than October 31, 2025. Any use of these cups poses a danger to consumers who could suffer from heavy metal poisoning.
The RappelConso platform has also called on all consumers to share the information with their friends and relatives in order to prevent the use of these utensils and avoid potential health damage.
