Toulouse Doctoral Student Wins "3-Minute Thesis" Contest with Endometriosis Research

Oumaima El Mansouri, a doctoral student at the Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse, has just won the "My thesis in 180 seconds" competition organized by France 3 Occitanie, jointly with the CNRS and the Conference of University Presidents.
The principle of the competition is very simple. You have to explain the thesis you are working on in three minutes. Given the realities of the moment marked by a global health crisis, it is in a 3-minute video that Oumaima El Mansouri presented her project. It is about "the fusion between MRI and ultrasound techniques to treat endometriosis". It is with such an ambitious project that she managed to win the sympathy of the viewers and Internet users, of whom she won 30% of the votes. "A well-crafted, complete and high-quality work".
In the video description, she explained that "MRI and ultrasound allow to have an exact and precise diagnosis of the disease that is endometriosis". In short, the winner of the competition is working on a revolutionary project that could make life easier for many women in the world. The fact that she won this competition is proof that the young doctoral student is on the right track and could revolutionize the world of medicine through her research.
She says she is happy to have been able to gauge the relevance of her research through the votes of viewers and Internet users, among whom are people concerned about endometriosis. "My thesis in 180 seconds is a very nice exercise that allowed me to get out of the researcher’s shell to reach a wider audience on a subject that is close to my heart: endometriosis," she said.
Oumaima El Mansouri, thanks to the quality of her project, was able to win a competition she thought was inaccessible. "A true model and example for thousands of young Muslims in France".
