Thousands of Moroccan Students Head to French Universities Amid Pandemic

Nearly 10,000 Moroccan students enrolled in universities in France are preparing to leave for France for the 2020-2021 academic year. Among these students are also new enrollees who have just obtained their baccalaureate.
These students are mostly former students renewing their registrations in their respective higher education institutions.
They hold a residence permit, unlike first-year students, who have a student visa. These travel documents have mostly been issued by the various French consulates in Morocco.
Compared to the previous year, the number of students leaving for the hexagon has seen a slight decrease. This is justified by the health crisis. The various ministries, companies and consulates involved in this project are working hard to facilitate the air transport of the students. The first contingent should leave at the beginning of September.
