Thousands of Belgian Citizens Stranded in Morocco Await Repatriation

The thousands of Belgians and Belgian-Moroccans stranded in Morocco for a month and a half are desperate about the organization of their repatriation to Belgium.
"Many people are desperate! Desperate, that’s the word. They feel taken hostage both by Morocco and by Belgium. They feel there is clearly mistreatment, discrimination against them," says Mohsin Mouedden, administrator of a social media platform for Belgian-Moroccans stranded in Morocco.
He calls on the Belgian state to respect all its citizens, to do everything to have them all repatriated. Including Moroccans residing in Belgium. "The Belgian authorities also need to be clear in their communication. Because the Belgian Embassy in Rabat always gives us the same answer: ’be patient’!" he insists.
While waiting for his call to be heard, Mohsin Mouedden is multiplying messages to the authorities of the two states. He has also addressed an open letter to the King of Morocco and the Moroccan Embassy in Belgium.
