Teen Sensation Bounida Scores on Professional Debut for Ajax

The young Belgian talent of Moroccan origin Rayane Bounida had a successful professional debut with Jong Ajax. He was brilliant on Monday with the Dutch club.
Rayane Bounida, 18, is making his professional football debut. He played his first professional match against De Graafschap. In just 10 minutes, he made an impression. With the score at 1-0, the young player comes on the field in the 86th minute and scores the second goal with a shot just outside the penalty area. He thus succeeds in his professional debut in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, the second division of Dutch football.
Bounida expresses his happiness at having delivered this fine performance. "I think the main thing is to have brought what the coach expected of me: intensity," Bounida rejoiced after the match on the ESPN microphone. He will add: "But yes, a little goal is always welcome, and it was a nice goal. I was really super happy, yes. It was also important, because the match could have gone either way. Fortunately, the referee just blew the whistle after."
Bounida’s contract with Jong Ajax runs until the summer of 2025. In terms of selection, he is not yet playing for Morocco. The young talent has played in all the youth national teams of the Belgian teams. It remains to be seen whether he will follow the example of Belgo-Moroccan players like Bilal El Khannouss in preferring Morocco over Belgium.
