Tax Authorities Target Social Media Influencers’ Undeclared Income

Opinion makers on the web, influencers often enjoy large incomes that escape the tax authorities. Without legal status, they do not declare their income and represent a large shortfall for the State.
These influencers do not appear in the State’s registers, reports La Vie Eco. To avoid this financial loss, the Foreign Exchange Office has launched an operation to identify these opinion makers, particularly those who are in an irregular situation. They have been invited to complete their file within a maximum of one month.
In other words, they are invited by the Foreign Exchange Office to file the justifications and details on the nature of the export operations of services in favor of their clients "Google Ireland Limited" and "Unity Technologies".
Contrary to expectations, this operation did not meet with the expected success due to the hard-to-trace platforms like PayPal. Some influencers had to keep their income abroad, thwarting the will of the president of the Foreign Exchange Office to regulate this activity.
