Tangier Opens Massive 11-Hectare Wholesale Produce Market

Tangier has been home to a wholesale fruit and vegetable market since this Saturday, October 10. It covers a total area of 11 hectares.
At a total cost of 124 million dirhams, this project is part of the Tangier-Metropole program. The market includes several halls, namely a 5,520 m2 vegetable hall and a 5,520 m2 fruit hall. It also includes a third hall dedicated to sales of 2,500 m2.
In addition, spaces have been set up to house 1,200 m2 of refrigeration facilities, 260 m2 of cafes-restaurants and 260 m2 of administrative offices.
