Sustainable Denim Brand Launches Eco-Friendly Jeans Made in Morocco

For a year now, Zakaria Ghattas has been offering jeans that last, while respecting the environment and people. Part of the manufacturing is done in Morocco.
Zakaria Ghattas, 42, CEO of Blue Fingers Europe, a clothing distribution company for major brands, has set up Green Lion, a company based in Joinville, specializing in "ecological jeans whose manufacturing is eco-responsible from start to finish," reports Le Parisien.
"We only use organic, natural or recycled raw materials, but we also care about the well-being of the people who work for us, in the workshops, in Morocco, Portugal and Spain. We ensure to preserve their dignity, through fair work and a decent wage," he assured, adding that "ethics goes as far as the price, since our promise is that our jeans will be affordable for less than 100€".
Regarding the fabric, "the weaving is done in Morocco in an Evlox company with multiple eco-certifications". As for the manufacturing, it is done at Anico in Casablanca. The washing and bleaching of the fabric are entrusted to the New wash company, the first integrated and GOTS and OCS certified Moroccan laundry.
Green Lion jeans are sold on the company’s website, and in three stores in Lyon, Marseille and Lardy (Essonne). The company plans to "grow, as eco-responsible jeans only represent 5% of the European offer," concluded Zakaria Ghattas.
