Stranded Moroccans in France Demand Repatriation, Plan Consulate Protest

Moroccans stranded in France due to the closure of air traffic have called for a rally, Tuesday, June 2 at 10 a.m., in front of the Moroccan consulate in Montpellier. They only wish for one thing: their repatriation to the kingdom.
While passenger traffic by sea from Morocco to France has resumed to repatriate French motorhome owners, Moroccans are still blocked in Frontignan, Sète, Montpellier and elsewhere, reports Midi Libre.
"He came for his business with a short-stay visa, now expired. He is therefore in an illegal situation and yet, he only asks one thing: to return home. We see boats docking in Sète and unloading French motorhomes returning home, but they leave empty. Access to the boat is prohibited by a police cordon. This situation is becoming dramatic!", says Christiane, a resident of Frontignan. She is hosting her friend Lahcen Lahraoui, who came to France in early March to participate in a mineral show.
Tired of the deplorable health conditions in which they live in Sète, Lahcen and other Moroccans are calling for a rally, Tuesday, June 2 at 10 a.m. (local time), in front of the Moroccan consulate in Montpellier. They hope that the French and Moroccan governments will not turn a deaf ear to their grievance, that of returning to Morocco in the very near future.
