Spanish Influencer Sparks Outrage After Paying €10,000 for World Cup VIP Experience

A young Spanish TikToker, Adri Contreras, announced on this social network that he had paid 10,000 euros to follow the Morocco-Belgium match on a screen from the VIP box of the Al-Thumana stadium in Qatar. His publication has provoked strong criticism from Internet users.
Like many influencers and celebrities in the world, Adri Contreras went to Qatar to experience the Football World Cup and support his country’s team, Spain. He also took the opportunity to tour the small Arab country, as evidenced by his videos posted on the Chinese social network, But one of the influencer’s recent videos has attracted the attention of Internet users. It is the one recorded at the Al-Thumana stadium in Doha, in which he recounts having paid 10,000 euros to follow the Morocco-Belgium match on a screen in the VIP box of the stadium.
Called Skybox, the VIP box is air-conditioned and provides access to a small bar that offers a wide variety of drinks including beer or any other alcoholic beverage, as well as various dishes, snacks and sandwiches. Those who pay to stay in the VIP box watch the match broadcast live on screens. "In this room, you don’t hear the ambient noise of the game, so you can be quiet," said Adri Contreras, filming the stands where you could hear the atmosphere that prevailed there as well as the cheers of the supporters.
The video provoked an avalanche of reactions from users of the social network who criticized the tiktoker’s choice to prefer to watch the match on a screen for 10,000 euros. "It makes no sense to watch the match from the outside, but it makes sense to watch it on television in the same stadium, ha ha ha," ironized an Internet user. "It’s the same as staying at home to eat and watch the match," reacted another. "It makes no sense not to experience the atmosphere in the stadium, it loses all its essence," wrote another.
