Spain Turns to France for Anti-Terror Intelligence After Morocco Rift

Faced with Morocco’s refusal to resume police cooperation with Spain, the Spanish intelligence services had to turn to France to continue to receive information on terrorism at the southern border level.
In retaliation for Spain’s reception of Brahim Ghali for "humanitarian" reasons, Morocco has suspended its police cooperation with it on anti-terrorism issues. Spain, severely affected by this situation, and unable to remain without information on terrorism at the level of its southern border, has been forced to turn to France, reports OKDIARIO.

The French intelligence services are willing to provide Spain with all the key anti-terrorism information from Morocco for the duration of the crisis, the same source specifies, recalling that Spain, in doing so, is asking France for a quid pro quo, which had suffered in 2014, the anger of Morocco after Abdelatif Hamouchi, the Director General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST) was prosecuted for alleged crimes of torture and persecution during a trip to Paris.
