Spain to Install Advanced Border Control System in Ceuta

Spain will implement a new entry and exit control system at the Tarajal border in Ceuta. The work should start in the coming days.
The Secretary of State for Security, Rafael Pérez Ruiz, confirmed this Monday, during a meeting with the Government Delegate in Ceuta, Salvadora Mateos, the imminent start of the installation work of the Automated Entry and Exit System (EES) at the Tarajal border.
This new control system aims to strengthen entry conditions to prevent the passage of third-country nationals, including Morocco, who do not meet the conditions or have exceeded the authorized period of stay, reports The Objective.
More precisely, it will increase the efficiency and security of border controls, fight against the trafficking of false identity and travel documents, contribute to the prevention of terrorism and, in general, to the strengthening of police cooperation with neighboring countries such as Morocco.
