Son of Anti-Extremism Activist Latifa Ibn Ziaten Brutally Attacked in France

One of the sons of Latifa Ibn Ziaten, mother of Imad Ibn Ziaten, a soldier coldly murdered by Mohamed Merah in Toulouse in March 2012, was assaulted. Admitted to the emergency room of the Rouen University Hospital in the evening, the victim says he was attacked while returning home with a friend, who was also hospitalized.
The first accounts of the victim describe an attack by three individuals with unkempt beards.
For Méhana Mouhou, the lawyer for the Ibn Ziaten family, the "violent and savage" assault comes after the death threats against Latifa Ibn Ziaten and the discovery of hateful and glorifying tags of Merah at her home.
The individuals were determined to confront the two friends. They were spared when the son of Latifa Ibn Ziaten announced the imminent arrival of his father, the lawyer argues.
