Ryanair Threatens Belgian Exit, Eyes Expansion in Morocco Amid Disputes

Disappointed by Belgium, which it threatens to leave, the airline Ryanair plans to strengthen its presence in Morocco.
Social unrest, increase in airport taxes, lack of growth, visibility and attractiveness. Ryanair is angry with Belgium and threatens to leave Brussels-Zaventem and Charleroi-Brussels South airports. "I don’t see any growth in your country for the next 12 months. Belgium, this country that is so dear to my heart, especially for its unions, has a weird economic model," Michael O’Leary, CEO of the company, told the daily La Libre. The Irish low-cost airline would also be about to close several European bases "in the next two weeks."
Currently, Ryanair is working to continue its expansion. The company recorded a new traffic record last month, and is establishing financial forecasts "targeting a profit of 1 billion euros in 2022." "We will continue to develop in Europe. We would also like to develop in North African countries, particularly Morocco," Michael O’Leary specified.
