Ryanair Expands Morocco Service with 11 New Winter Routes to Europe

The Irish low-cost airline Ryanair plans to launch eleven new air routes from several Moroccan cities such as Agadir, Marrakech, Fez to Italy, France and Spain as part of its winter program.
129 routes including eleven new ones, an eleventh aircraft (Boeing 737) based in the kingdom (a 6th in Marrakech), more than 720 weekly flights in Morocco... The airline Ryanair unveiled on Tuesday a record winter 2022-2023 program for Morocco. Seven of the eleven new routes had been announced last June. The Irish low-cost carrier will operate flights to Agadir-Al Massira from Rome-Ciampino, Frankfurt-Hahn and Valencia, to Marrakech-Menara from Limoges and Gran Canaria. Ryanair will connect Fez-Saïss to Clermont-Ferrand and Alicante, and Rabat-Salé to Toulouse and Rome-Ciampino. Finally, the company will offer flights from London-Stand and Rome-Ciampino to Tangier-Ibn Battouta.
"As Europe’s largest airline and Morocco’s fastest growing airline, Ryanair is delighted to announce its largest ever Moroccan winter program. This recent investment of an additional aircraft based in Marrakech supports Ryanair’s largest ever winter program, and strengthens our commitment to Morocco with 11 aircraft based in Agadir, Marrakech and Fez, allowing us to diversify and increase inbound tourism from major European cities," said Raymond Kelliher, Ryanair’s Director of Route Development, in a press release.
These new winter routes "will support Morocco’s local economy and its ambitions to revive inbound tourism through year-round connectivity," the company said, noting that the program represents "a $1.1 billion investment in Morocco, and 5,000 total jobs (including over 330 direct jobs)," for around 2.5 million passengers transported.
