Royal Air Maroc Wins Top African Airline Awards for Operations and Financial Performance
Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has won two awards as the best airline in the "Global Operations" and "Best Improved Financial Results" categories. This took place on the occasion of the 51st Annual General Assembly of the African Airlines Association (AFRAA), held from November 10 to 12 in Mauritius.
These two awards reflect the momentum initiated by the airline both operationally and financially in 2018, RAM indicates in a press release.
Proud of this international recognition awarded by a jury of aviation professionals, the CEO of RAM, Hamid Addou declared that this consecration will allow his team to go beyond expectations to achieve a single African air transport market.
This will, according to him, "remove protectionist barriers in order to achieve a boom in air traffic on the African continent, driven mainly by African airlines and in the interest of the economies of our countries and our fellow citizens".
It should be noted that this summit was held under the theme "Success in an Integrated and Interconnected Africa". It also brought together the heads of African airlines, the heads of civil aviation authorities, the strategic partners of the aviation industry (including IATA, ICAO, AFCAC) and aviation experts.
