Retired Educator Rescues Moroccan Stray Dog from Culling, Gives New Life in France

Brigitte Lorthioir, a retired educator from Amandine known for her fight against animal abuse, changes the fate of Inotika, a Moroccan stray dog.
"Inotika was rescued from the street by the association Les quat’pattes Maroc. Her brothers and sisters were massacred, victims of a culling operation. Sterilized, vaccinated, my dog was first placed in a foster family there with other animals, children, then she arrived by plane on March 20, 2021. A great moment of emotion," Brigitte Lorthioir tells La Voix du Nord. In addition to Inotika, she also saved the life of Bolera, a Spanish dog she adopted in 2017.
"She is a 7-year-old Spanish greyhound who, after two years of loyal service with the hunters in Spain, was destined for hanging, as is their tradition. The dog can remain hanging for ten hours after being tortured, it’s horrible. My big traumatized one, as I call her, arrived by truck in Compiègne where she was taken care of by the Fils du vent association in Flines," she still recounts, having always lived in the presence of dogs.
The two animals live together at Brigitte Lorthioir’s, "the Câlins house", where no one is hit.
