Repeat Offender Convicted of Domestic Violence in Charente-Maritime, Faces Area Ban

A Moroccan with a heavy criminal record has been banned from staying in Charente-Maritime for violence against a woman. He had previously been banned from staying in Cognac.
His criminal record already had 19 mentions for sexual violence. Hamza, aged 29, was accused of physical and sexual violence against Marie, his ex-partner, between September and October in Périgny. Following the complaint filed on October 23 by Marie, the individual was placed in pre-trial detention by a judge of the liberties and detention of the La Rochelle public prosecutor’s office for two days, before appearing immediately before the judicial tribunal of La Rochelle, reports actu.fr.
Marie had also noticed that her partner, who regularly consumed alcohol and cocaine, also had "strange" relationships with three men from Cognac, while he had been banned from staying in this city for several years, the same source reports.
Based on Hamza’s very heavy criminal record, the public prosecutor sentenced him to eight months in prison, including four suspended, and a ban on contacting the victim. She was not followed by the president of the court who went further, sentencing him to ten months in prison and a ban on entering Charente-Maritime for two years. "You take the first TGV heading to Achères," ordered the president of the La Rochelle judicial tribunal.
