Record-Breaking 11-Ton Cannabis Bust: Major Drug Trafficking Ring Dismantled in France

The seizure carried out on Friday evening by the judicial police near Besançon is a real record. We are talking about a vast drug trafficking network "scale" between Morocco, Spain, France and Belgium.
11 tons of cannabis in a heavy goods vehicle intercepted on Friday evening on the A-36 motorway heading towards Paris. This is the information obtained by Reuters from the Specialized Inter-Regional Jurisdiction of Nancy (Jirs).
In addition to the 11 tons of cannabis, a press release states that several vehicles accompanying the heavy goods vehicle were intercepted and four people were arrested, including an Italian national.
This operation was carried out as part of a "judicial investigation opened before an investigating judge of the Jirs de Nancy on a drug trafficking network ’scale’ between Morocco, Spain, France and Belgium".
The success of this operation is to be credited to the "remarkable cooperation" that has been established between Morocco, Spain and France, where the investigation was conducted by the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police. According to the magistrate, "this seizure is a historic record".
