Real Madrid Eyes Moroccan Goalkeeper Yassine Bono Amid Courtois Injury Crisis

After being contacted by several clubs, with lucrative contracts notably in Saudi Arabia, Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bono has just received an offer from one of the biggest European clubs.
While the contacts with Bayern Munich are on hold, the situation could change with the injury of goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, an intimate friend of Bono. Several major European clubs, such as Tottenham, PSG and Inter Milan, have expressed interest in the player, without formalizing the offers.
At last Thursday’s training session, Bono’s face spoke volumes about his uncertainty about his future, reports AS. The probability that José Luis Mendilibar will choose Marko Dmitrovic as the starting goalkeeper for LaLiga, as he did last season, is not reassuring. In addition, Bono must face the disappointment caused by the negotiations between Bayern and Chelsea for the loan of Kepa Arrizabalaga, after Seville rejected several offers from the German club.
At 32 years old and at the peak of his form, having been a key player in Morocco’s World Cup victory and Seville’s Europa League win, Bono sees Courtois’ injury as the opportunity of a lifetime. The 50 million euro clause in his contract seems out of reach for most clubs, but a tacit agreement in Seville could see him leave for around 20 million. A club like Real Madrid could tip the scales. As the Moroccan himself says, if the White House decides to choose him, he would be delighted to take his place between the posts of the Santiago Bernabéu.
