Qatar’s Emir Pushes PSG to Pursue Moroccan Star Achraf Hakimi

Behind the determination of PSG to sign this summer the Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi, lies the will of the Emir of Qatar.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the idea of securing the signature of the Inter Milan star at all costs does not come from the sporting director, Leonardo, even less from the coach Mauricio Pochettino, or even from the president Nasser Al Khelaifi. This transfer project, the newspaper points out, stems from the personal will of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim ben Hamad Al Thani.
The Emir has made the signing of the 22-year-old Moroccan right-back the priority of the summer, the same source insists, stressing that the Qatari leaders of the French club are counting not only on the performance of the Moroccan star but also and above all on his notoriety for the promotion of the club in Qatar on the eve of the World Cup scheduled in this Gulf country.
