PSG Stars Neymar and Mbappé Lead Ramadan Wishes as Top Clubs Mark Muslim Holy Month

The players of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have wished a good Ramadan 2021 to Muslims. The holy month began on April 13 in some countries like France, Syria, Egypt, but started on Wednesday, April 14 in others like Morocco, Oman, India and Iran.
"Ramadan Mubarak to all Muslims" and "have a blessed month," wished the players of the PSG team, including Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, to Muslims in a video posted on Twitter. This gesture was appreciated by the team’s fans, who commented extensively on this post. In addition to PSG, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, FC Porto, Bayern Munich, Juventus and AC Milan have also wished Muslims a good Ramadan on social media.
Like last year, Muslims will experience the holy month under health restrictions related to the Covid-19 pandemic. These restrictions are more strict in some countries, but eased in others due to their epidemiological situation. In Morocco, the government has imposed a curfew during the holy month. Nighttime travel nationwide from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., except for exceptional cases, is prohibited from April 13. Tarawih prayers will not take place in mosques. In France, the government has imposed a curfew at 7 p.m. Night prayers are not allowed.
