Police Union Delegate Exposes Widespread Racism in French Law Enforcement

A passive complicity attitude towards all racist acts, this is what Noam Anouar thinks of the police administration. According to the delegate of the police union "Vigi", there is a second group of law enforcement on Facebook with racist, anti-Semitic, sexist and homophobic remarks.
The investigation by StreetPress on racist messages posted on Facebook and attributed to members of the security forces is analyzed by the delegate of the police union "Vigi". On France info, Noam Anouar stated that this situation is very far from being an isolated phenomenon.
The Paris prosecutor’s office opened a preliminary investigation on Saturday. But the trade unionist denounces the existence of a second group on Facebook, much more virulent than the one that has been highlighted.
Furthermore, the union delegate believes that the administration adopts a passive complicity attitude towards all these acts, but also an ideological tendency of the extreme right which is emerging incontestably among the police and in the high hierarchy. According to the delegate, this complicity is manifested by a suspension with reprieve by the General Inspection of the National Police (IGPN).
Regarding an extreme right-wing ideology, he explains that all the polls have shown a majority adherence to the theses of the National Rally, even if we cannot make a direct link with the extreme right or with racist violence, since these are political opinions expressed in the private sphere.
