Paul Pogba Vows to Fight Racism for Next Generation After Teammate Faces Abuse

The French international, Paul Pogba, has promised to launch the battle against racism for the next generation. His decision comes in the wake of the latest racist insults hurled on social media against his Manchester United teammate, Marcus Rashford.
The 2018 world champion has posted a tweet with a photo of his baby in his arms in front of portraits of his late father and Martin Luther King. In this tweet, the French footballer acknowledges that his ancestors and parents have already fought the tough battle so that his generation "is free today, to work, to take the bus, to play football".
According to him, "racist insults are ignorance". He says these can only make him stronger and motivate him to fight for the next generation, indicates the same source.
The racist insults were indeed directed against the two players on social media, following their missed penalty against Wolverhampton for the Frenchman and against Crystal Palace for the Englishman.
Last week, Twitter representatives held a meeting with Manchester United and "Kick it out", an organization fighting discrimination in football. On Saturday, August 24, after the defeat at Old Trafford, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had also regretted the racist insults received by his players. "It’s crazy that we’re still talking about this in 2019."
