Parisian Man’s Epic Blunder: Wife Left Behind on 300km Morocco Road Trip

As a Parisian couple was driving to Morocco by car with their 22-year-old daughter, the man forgot his 62-year-old wife at a rest area. The gendarmes of the Labouheyre (Landes) motorcycle brigade managed to find the woman, safe and sound.
The events took place on Saturday, July 5th. The gendarmes of the Labouheyre (Landes) motorcycle brigade received a call at 8:30 am from a sexagenarian who reported having forgotten his wife at a rest area, without giving any further details. The sexagenarian explained that he had noticed his wife’s absence from the car, around Saugnac-et-Muret, relays France Bleu.
After hearing the man and his 22-year-old daughter who were traveling with them, the gendarmes set out to search for the woman. They scoured all the rest areas in the area, to no avail. After some research, the gendarmes finally located the woman’s phone about 300 kilometers away, in Pamproux in the Deux-Sèvres.
The couple had stopped around 4 a.m. at this rest area to refuel. The wife did not get back on board, we are told. Once found, the woman forced her husband to come and pick her up before continuing their journey to Morocco.
